The effects of EGF are initiated through tyrosine kinase activity, following the binding of EGF to the extracellular domain of the EGF receptor (EGFR), which results in the triggering of several signal transduction pathways, including the JAK/STAT and P13K/AKT pathways.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Functional Assays, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml
Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml
Functional Assays: 0.05-0.1ug/ml

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C for short-term only.Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
