Epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor is a 170kD single-pass transmembrane tyrosine kinase. Ligand binding to this receptor results in receptor dimerization, autophosphorylation (in trans), activation of various downstream signaling molecules and lysosomal degradation.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunocytochemistry: 1-10ug/ml\nELISA: 0.05ug/ml\nImmunoprecipitation: 1-10ug per 10e6 vanadate treated A431 cells.\nImmunohistochemistry: Frozen and paraffin sections\nWestern Blot: 0.5ug/ml for HRPO/ECL detection. Use Casein/Tween-20 based blocking and Blot incubation buffers.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control Included:\nH2030-03H1: HepG2 Cell Lysate, Vanadate Treated\nAdd 50ul SDS-PAGE sample buffer and incubate at 90 degrees C for 5 minutes. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C \nWestern Blot: 20ul/lane (mini gel) for HRP/ECL detection.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
