Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is a polypeptide growth factor which stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of epidermal and epithelial cells. Recombinant murine EGF is a 6kD protein containing 53 amino acid residues.\n\nSource: \nRecombinant mouse Epidermal Growth Factor, aa977-1029, expressed in E. coli.\n\nMolecular Weight: 6kD\n\nBiological Activity: \n ED50 is 0.1-0.2ng/ml as determined by a cell proliferation assay using BALB/c 3T3 cells. \n\nEndotoxin: (same/less than)1EU/ug (LAL)\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
