Epsin-1 is a cytosolic adaptor protein and interacting partner for the EH domain-containing region of Eps15. It is involved in the regulation of clathrin-mediated endocytosis via its direct interactions with clathrin, the clathrin adaptor AP-2, and Eps15 (1-3). Epsin-1 is a cargo-specific adaptor for influenza virus entry through the clathrin-mediated pathway. In addition to being a clathrin-interacting protiein, Epsin-1 is also an ubiquitin-, and phospholipid-interacting protein (4). It also may function in a signaling pathway connecting the endocytic machinery to the regulation of nuclear function (1). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-2000 Immunocytochemistry: 1:100-250 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Manufactured incorporating RabMAb(R) technology under Epitomics US patents, No 5,675,063 and 7,429,487, owned by Abcam.
