EBI3 (Epstein-Barr Virus-induced Gene 3) is a subunit in 2 distinct heterodimeric cytokines: IL-27 (interleukin-27) and IL-35 (interleukin-35). It is a cytokine with pro- and anti-inflammatory properties, that can regulate T helper cell development, suppress T cell proliferation, stimulate cytotoxic T cell activity, induce isotype switching in B cells, and that has diverse effects on innate immune cells.
Sequence:
Human Epstein-Barr Virus-induced Gene 3 (aa 1-229) is fused at the C-terminus to the Fc portion of human IgG1.
Storage and Stability:
Short-term Storage: +4 degrees C
Long-term Storage: -20 degrees C
Working aliquots are stable for up to 3 months when stored at -20 degrees C.
