ErbA-related protein Ear-2, a NR2 Hepatocyte NF4-Like Receptor, has been shown to affect myeloid cell growth and differentiation, oxytocin expression in the uterus, aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 promoter function, Human luteinizing hormone receptor transcription, and thyroid hormone receptor function. Ear-2 has been shown to form heterodimers with receptor COUP-TFII in mouse cells. Ear-2 expression has been documented in colon, embryo, liver, placenta, and testis. ESTs have been isolated from Human tissue libraries, including cancerous blood, brain, breast, colon, eye, genitourinary tract, germ cell, kidney, lung, ovary, pancreas, parathyroid, placenta, skeletal muscle, and uterus, and normal brain, connective tissue, embryo, eye, heart, kidney, lung, placenta, prostate, skin, testis, thymus, and tonsil.
