c-erbB-3/HER-3 is the third member of the type I family of growth factor receptors. It binds to ligands in the heregulin family. c-erbB-3 is over-expressed in a variety of tumors including breast, stomach, pancreas, and colon. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at-20 degrees C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at-20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
