Erythromycin

Erythromycin is produced by a strain of Streptomyces erythraeus and belongs to the macrolide group of antibiotics. It is basic and readily forms salts with acids but it is the base which is microbiologically active.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:1500. Unpuri?ed ascites may occasionally have ?brin present. In order to remove the ?brin, the ascites can be spun down. This will not affect its performance in ELISA. There is a sensitivity of approximately 200pg/ml when used with the recommended conjugate E3454-01.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nControl Peptide Included: \nE3454-01: \nSupplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.05% sodium azide.\nELISA Blocking: 1:1500\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
