Estrogen-Related Receptor, alpha (ERRa, NR3B1, NR3 Steroid Receptor)

This protein is a nuclear receptor that is closely related to the estrogen receptor. This protein acts as a site specific transcription regulator and has been also shown to interact with estrogen and the transcripton factor TFIIB by direct protein-protein contact. The binding and regulatory activities of this protein have been demonstrated in the regulation of a variety of genes including lactoferrin, osteopontin, medium chain acyl coenzyme A dehydrogenase (MCAD) and thyroid hormone receptor genes. In mouse, ERR alpha is expressed in many adult and embryonic tissues (particularly at the onset of ossification) as well as in several osteoblast cell lines. ERR alpha expression has been documented in mouse in brain, spinal cord, pituitary gland and heart.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:5000\nFlow Cytometry: 1:20\nImmunoprecipitation: 1:40 \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nHeLa cell lysate.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
