EWSR1 (Ewing Sarcoma Breakpoint Region 1 Protein, EWS Oncogene, RNA-binding Protein EWS, EWS, bK984G1.4, CAGF29)

This gene encodes a putative RNA binding protein. Mutations in this gene, specifically a t(11;22)(q24;q12) translocation, are known to cause Ewing sarcoma as well as neuroectodermal and various other tumors. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two products. Might normally function as a repressor. EWS-fusion-proteins (EFPS) may play a role in the tumorigenic process. They may disturb gene expression by mimicking, or interfering with the normal function of CTD-POLII within the transcription initiation complex. They may also contribute to an aberrant activation of the fusion protein target genes.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. other applications not tested.\n\nRecomended Dilutions:\nELISA: 1:16,000\nWestern Blot: 1-3ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher\n\nPositive Control:\nNuclear lysates\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 monthsat -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
