Human moesin (membrane-organizing extension spike protein), a member of the ezrin, radixin, moesin (ERM) protein family, which acts as a linker protein between the plasma membrane and the actin cytoskeleton, and as a signal transducer in responses involving cytoskeletal remodelling. Moesin is localized to cytoplasmic projections (filopodia) which extend from the leading edge of migrating cells, which play a key role in cell movement, signaling and cell-cell recognition. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:16000 Western Blot: 1.0-3.0ug/ml, detects a band of ~70kD in human spleen cell lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
