Factor VIIIc (Antihaemophilic Factor) (HRP)

Factor VIII is a large glycoprotein (320kD) that circulates in plasma. Synthesized in the liver, the majority of Factor VIII is cleaved during expression, resulting in a heterogeneous mixture of partially cleaved forms of F.VIII. FVIII is a pro-factor that is activated through limited proteolysis by thrombin. \n\nApplication:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Immunoelectrophoresis. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRz ratio (Reinheitszahl, A403/A280): As reported\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. HRP conjugates are sensitive to light.

Additional Info

Recognizes human F.VIII as demonstrated by immunoelectrophoresis and ELISA. No reactivity is observed with von Willebrand Factor.
