Fibroblast Growth Factor-basic (FGF-b or FGF-2) is a heparin binding growth factor which stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. FGF-b also exerts a potent angiogenic activity in vivo. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and RIA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:1200 Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:5000 Western Blot: 1:10,000-1:30,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
