FBP17, a 71kD microtubule binding protein, is a member of Formin binding protein family. It consists of a CIP4 homology (FCH) domain at the N-terminus, followed by first coiled-coil domain, a proline rich motif, a second coiled-coil domain, a Rho family protein-binding domain (RBP) and a C-terminal SH3 domain. FBP17 binds to dynamin with its FCH domain and induces tubular membrane invaginations thereby participating in dynamin-mediated endocytosis. It also interacts with Rho family GTPases and Snx2, a protein involved in EGFR signaling and plays a significant role during cytoskeleton organization, cell polarity and signal transduction.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:32,000
Western Blot: 1:32,000 & 0.25-2ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3.75ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
