FOXP3 (Forkhead Box P3, AIID, DIETER, IPEX, JM2, PIDX, SCURFIN, XPID)

FoxP3 is a 48kD forkhead transcription factor family member, which was originally identified as the novel protein scurfin. FoxP3 functions as a DNA binding protein that represses transcription, and is reported to be involved in the regulation of T cell activation, differentiation and homeostasis. FoxP3 is predominantly expressed within the nuclei of CD25 +CD4 + regulatory T cells (Tr). This population of FoxP3+CD25+CD4+ Tr cells plays an essential role in controlling autoimmunity.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nELISA (Direct and indirect): 1:2000-1:10,000\nWestern Blot: 1:2000-1:5000 using ECL. Suggested blocking and dilution buffer is TBST, 0.05% Tween-20 and 5% skim milk. Suggested incubation time is 1 hour at RT.\nImmunohistochemistry: Frozen sections\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
