Recognizes an LPS antigen present in Francisella tularensis (30 strains tested), no cross reactivity is noted with LPS from Y. pestis, Y. pseudotuberculosis, Y.enterolitica, V.cholerae, V.eltor, E. coli. F. novicida, S. typhi or Brucella spps.F. tularensis is a pathogenic gram negative, non motile bacterium. It is the causitive agent of the zoonotic disease Tularemia, also known as rabbit fever. |
