Fucosyltransferase 3 (FUT3), also known as galactoside 3(4)-L-fucosyltransferase or blood group Lewis alpha-4-fucosyltransferase (Lewis FT), is type II membrane protein with a cytoplasmic tail (aa1-15), a transmembrane region (aa16-34) and an ectodomain (aa35-361). The amino acid sequence of human FUT3 is 99% and 52% identical to that of chimpanzee and chicken.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml. The detection limit is ~1ng/well.
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. Using a colormetric detection system, the detection limit is ~20ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions.
Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml immunoprecipitates rhFUT3 or rhFUT5 from conditioned cell culture medium.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
