GPR20 is an Orphan-A GPCR with an unknown ligand. It was identified based on sequence similarity with opioid and somatostatin-related receptor genes. GPR20 has been reported by Northern blot analysis in human brain and liver (O'Dowd et al., 1997). ESTs have been isolated from nerve neoplasm and uterine adenocarcinoma libraries.
