OGR1, a Lysophospholipid/Lysosphingolipid Receptor, was isolated by degenerate PCR from an ovarian cell line cDNA library. It is not expressed in normal ovary. OGR1 binds sphingosylphosporylcholine, a lipid molecule involved in cell growth and survival. Recently, OGR1 has been shown to act as a proton-sensing receptor stimulating inositol phosphate formation (Ludwig et al. 2003). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 10-20ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human testis Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
