Galanin Prepropeptide (GAL)

Galanin is small neuropeptide that functions as a cellular messenger within the central and peripheral nervous systems, modulating diverse physiologic functions (Mechenthaler, 2008).\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nPeptide ELISA Titer: 1:32,000\nWestern Blot: 1-3ug/ml detects ~17kD band observed in Human Brain (Cerebellum) and Mouse Brain lysates (calculated MW of 13.3kD according to NP_057057.2).\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
