GCET2, commonly known as germinal center B cell expressed transcript 2 protein, is a 178aa protein expressed in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and several germinal center (GC) like lymphoma cell lines (at protein level). It is highly expressed in normal GC lymphocytes and GC derived malignancies, as well as being present in the thymus and spleen. In B cells expression of the HGAL gene is specifically induced by interleukin 4.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1-5ug/ml using recombinant protein.
Western Blot (Cell lysate): 1-5ug/ml. Specific band identified at ~21kD using Jurkat lysate.
Western Blot (Recombinant lysate protein): 1-5ug/ml. Specific band of ~45kD identified using immuogen protein lysate.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
