GFAP (FLJ45472, intermediate filament protein)

Cat no: 144569

GFAP (FLJ45472, intermediate filament protein)

Glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) is an intermediate filament protein of 52Kda. GFAP gene is mapped to human 17q21. GFAP is a useful marker of astroglia in the brain. Mutations in GFAP, encoding glial fibrillary acidic protein, are associated with Alexander disease.\n\nUniProt Number:\nHuman(P14136), Mouse(P03995), Rat(P47819)\n\nGene ID:\nGFAP\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin and Frozen).\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Handling:\nStore at -20?C for one year. After reconstitution, store at 4?C for one month. Can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20?C for long term.\nAvoid repeated freezing and thawing.
