GFRa-2, also known as NTNRa, GDNFRb, Ret ligand 2 (RETL2) or TGFb-related neurotrophic factor receptor 2 (TNR2) binds NTN and mediates activation of RET receptor tyrosine kinase by both NTN and GDNF. GDNF (glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) is a potent survival factor for central and peripheral neurons. Physiological responses to GDNF require the presence of a novel glycosylphophadidylinositol linked protein GDNFRa. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
