Gamma-Glutamyl hydrolase (GGH) is a homodimeric protein that catalyzes the cleavage of the gamma-glutamyl chain of folylpoly-gamma-glutamyl substrates and is a central enzyme in folyl and antifolyl poly-gamma-glutamate metabolism. The activities of the baculovirus-expressed enzyme and the enzyme from HL-60 cells were similar on methotrexate polyglutamates. GGH is expressed in a variety of human tuomrs and correlates with poor prognosis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.1-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HL-60, MCF cell line Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
