GID8 (Glucose-induced Degradation Protein 8 Homolog, Two Hybrid-associated Protein 1 with RanBPM, Twa1, C20orf11, bA305P22.1, FLJ20602)

TWA1 was identified through a two hybrid-associated protein screen with RanBPM. TWA1 is well conserved through evolution and is localized within the nucleus. It interacts with RanBP9 and comprises a protein complex with RanBPM and Muskelin. TWA1 was found to possess the LisH-CTLH motif which is detected in proteins involved in microtubule dynamics, cell migration, nucleokinesis and chromosome segregation. These functions overlap with functions suggested for the RanGTPase cycle. Recent findings suggested that there is an as yet uncovered function of the RanGTPase cycle.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2.5ug/ml\nImmunofluorescence: 20ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nHuman Brain Tissue Lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
