GIPC proteins are multifunctional proteins which play a significant role in vesicular trafficking, signal transduction, cytoskeletal organization, embryogenesis and carcinogenesis. These are involved in multi-protein interactions which include C-terminus of GAIP/RGS19, FZD class of WNT receptor, IGF-1 receptor, TrkA, TGF-beta type III receptor, integrin alpha6A subunit, and a transmembrane glycoprotein 5T4. GIPC3, a 36kD protein, is a novel member of this family. It is a human ortholog to Xenopus Kermit and Drosophila LPO9416 and consists of a central PDZ domain, GH1 and GH2 domains and a C-terminal ACP domain. Northern Blot analysis and RNA dot blot analysis have detected a ubiquitous expression of GIPC3 in adult and fetal tissues, with an increased expression observed in small intestine, jejunum, parietal lobe of brain, lymph node, fetal liver and fetal thymus. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.2-1.5ug/ml ELISA: >1:32,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human heart Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
