Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is identified as a gut hormone with potent insulin-releasing activity. GLP-1 possesses several physiological properties that make it a subject of intensive investigation as a potential treatment of diabetes mellitus. In addition, GLP-1 has other biological functions such as reduction of food intake and deceleration of gastric emptying.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Indirect ELISA and Immunofluorescence. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Indirect ELISA: 1-2ug/ml
Immunofluorescence: 20-40ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
