Glucose Dehydrogenase BioAssay(TM) Kit

Glucose 1-dehydrogenase (NAD+) (EC 1.1.1.118 ) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction: D-glucose + NAD+?D-glucono-1,5-lactone + NADH + H+. This enzyme belongs to the family of oxidoreductases, specifically those acting on the CH-OH group of donor with NAD+ or NADP+ as acceptor. The Glucose Dehydrogenase (GDH) Assay Kit provides a convenient tool for sensitive detection of the GDH in a variety of samples. The GDH present in sample will recognize D-glucose as a specific substrate leading to a proportional color development. The activity of GDH can be easily quantified colorimetrically (lambda = 450nm). This assay detects GDH activity as low as 0.01mU with our unit definition.\n\nKit Components:\nGDH *Assay Buffer 1x25ml\nGlucose (2 M) 1x1.2ml\nDeveloper (Lyophilized) 1x1vial\nGDH Positive Control (Lyophilized) 1x1vial\nNADH Standard (0.5umol, Lyophilized) 1x1vial.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nStore at -20 degrees C, protect from light. Allow *Assay Buffer to warm to RT before use. Stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
