GRP94 is a 803aa protein belonging to the heat shock protein 90 family. It acts as a molecular chaperone that functions in the processing and transport of secreted proteins. GRP94 and its N-terminal fragment stimulates CTL expansion and maturation of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells (MDDC). It plays a central role in innate as well as acquired immunity, maturation and chemotaxis of dendritic cells, Ab production, cross-priming, as a potential marker in breast cancer and is a peptide acceptor in endoplasmic reticulum and an accessory to peptide loading of MHC class I molecules. Expression of GRP94 suppressed A23187-induced apoptosis and stabilized calcium homeostasis. GRP94 is expressed in melanoma or liver metastases of colon carcinoma cells, human gastric carcinoma BGC-823 cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
