Glutathione Peroxidase 3 (GPX3, GSHPx-3, GPx-3, GSHPx-P, GPx-P, GPXP)

Protects cells and enzymes from oxidative damage, by catalyzing the reduction of hydrogen peroxide, lipid peroxides and organic hydroperoxide, by glutathione. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: 2 glutathione + H2O2 = glutathione disulfide + 2 H2O. SUBUNIT: Homotetramer. \n\nCellular Localization:\nSecreted protein. \n\nTissue Specificity:\nSecreted in plasma. PTM: The N-terminus is blocked. Belongs to the glutathione peroxidase family.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
