Golgins are integral membrane proteins localized to the Golgi apparatus and participate in structural organization of Golgi. Golgin-67, a 67KD protein, is a novel member of this family. It consists of an N-teminal coiled-coil domain and a C-terminal transmembrane domain and structurally resembles Golgin-84. It consists of a putative Src phosphorylation motif and has been found to interact with Src, thereby mediating golgi organization. It might also have a role in docking:tethering of vesicles. It is the smallest member of a growing family of Golgi autoantigens. Autoantibodies to Golgin-67 have been identified in systemic rheumatic diseases. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
