GP130

GP130 is a signal-transducing subunit shared by the receptors for the IL-6 family of cytokines (1-3). The binding of a ligand to its receptor induces the dimerization of GP130, lending to activation of the Jak tyrosine kinase and tyrosine phosphorylation of GP130. These events lead to the activation of multiple signaltransduction pathways, such as the Stat, Ras-MAPK and PI3 kinase pathways whose activation is controlled by distinct regions of GP130 (4-7).\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:1000.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. \n\n
