GPR72 is a 423aa protein and an orphan member of GPCR protein family and is closely related to tachykinin and NPY receptors. It is a human homolog of mouse GIR protein and is exclusively expressed and selectively up-regulated in brain. It is a cell surface receptor protein consisting of a putative seven-transmembrane-domain. Reports suggest GPR72 might be involved in the regulation of immune tolerance mechanism by inducing peripheral generation of Foxp3+ Treg cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Frozen, paraffin): 2.5-5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Positive Control: Brain Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
