Glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) protects cells against membrane lipid peroxidation and cell death. Required for normal sperm development and male fertility. Play a major role in protecting mammals from the toxicity of ingested lipid hydroperoxides. Essential for embryonic development. Protects from radiation and oxidative damage. Sequence: Human GPX4 (aa 1-197) is fused at the C-terminus to a His-tag. Storage and Stability: Short-term Storage: +4 degrees C Long-term Storage: -20 degrees C Working aliquots are stable for up to 3 months when stored at -20 degrees C.
