Recombinant Granulocyte Macrophage CSF is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 127aa. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined to be Ala-Pro-Ala-Arg-Ser. N-terminal methionine has been completely removed enzymatically.\n\nSource: E. coli\n\nMolecular Weight: ~14.4kD\n\nActivity: \nThe ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human TF-1 cells (human erythroleukemic indicator cell line) is <0.1ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 11.1x10e6 IU/mg. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile deionized water to a concentration (same/more than)100ug/ml. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
