OBT1645 is made against highly-purified native GFP from Aequorea victoria. It is reactive with GFP from both native and recombinant sources. While other commercial antibodies to GFP typically demonstrate strong reactivity with E. coli, OBT1645 has been purified by Protein A chromatography, followed by extensive adsorption against whole E. coli BL21 strain cells, ensuring minimal cross-reactivity with E. coli.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunoblot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:2000-1:10,000
Immunoblot: 1:1000-1:5000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
