GRO gamma (Chemokine, C-X-C motif ligand 3, CXCL3, CINC-2b, GRO3, GROg, Growth-regulated protein gamma, Macrophage inflammatory protein 2-beta precursor, MGSA gamma, MIP-2b, MIP2B, SCYB3)

CXCL3/GROg is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. CXCL3 controls migration and adhesion of monocytes and mediates it effects on its target cell by interacting with a cell surface chemokine receptor called CXCR2. The three GRO cDNAs encode 107 amino acid precursor proteins from which the N-terminal 34 amino acid residues are cleaved to generate the mature GROs. There are no potential N-linked glycosylation sites in the amino acid sequences. GRO expression is inducible by serum or PDGF and/or by a variety of inflammatory mediators, such as IL-1 and TNF, in monocytes, fibroblasts, melanocytes and epithelial cells. In certain tumor cell lines, GRO is expressed constitutively. Similar to other alpha chemokines, the three GRO proteins are potent neutrophil attractants and activators. In addition, these chemokines are also active toward basophils. All three GROs can bind with high affinity to the IL-8 receptor type B.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Neutralization, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nNeutralization: 1-2ug/ml yields one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hGRO-gamma (100ng/ml).\nELISA (Direct): (same/more than)0.5ug/ml; Using 100ul/well allows the detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant hGRO-gamma.\nWestern Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml; Detection limit for recombinant hGRO-gamma is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
