Cat no: G2023-30

Gross Cystic Disease Fluid Protein 15 (GCDFP-15)

Gross Cystic Disease Fluid Protein-15 (GCDFP-15, BRST-2) is a unique 15 kD monomer protein found in the cystic fluid of gross cystic disease which is a common premenopausal disorder. The protein is also known under different names in different body fluids such as gp17 in seminal plasma. It has been reported that GCDFP-15 is a ligand of CD4 and is a potent inhibitor of T-cell apoptosis induced by sequential CD4/T-cell receptor triggering. The cells within the body that produce GCDFP-15 appear to be restricted primarily to those with apocrine function.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry: frozen and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections\nEpitope Retrieval: Not required\nEnzyme Digestion: Not required\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control Tissue:\nBreast cancer\n\nExpected Staining Pattern:\nCytoplasmic\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.\n
