HMGA1, Recombinant, Human, aa1-107, His-Tag (High Mobility Group A1 (HMG) Transcription Factor, High Mobility Group Protein A1, High Mobility Group AT Hook Protein 1, High Mobility Group (Nonhistone Chromosomal) Protein Isoforms I and Y, High Mobility Gro

High mobility group protein HMG-I/HMG-Y, also known as HMGA1, is a member of the non-histone chromosomal high mobility group protein (HMG) family. HMGA1 consists of a highly conserved AT-hook DNA-binding domain that mediates binding to AT-rich sequences in the minor groove of chromosomal DNA. It functions as architectural chromatin-binding transcription factor altering the conformation of DNA by modulating nuclear protein-DNA complexes. It is involved in many cellular processes including growth regulation, viral induction of beta-IFN gene and regulation of inducible gene transcription. \n\nSource:\nRecombinant corresponding to aa1-107 of human HMGA1, fused with His-tag at C-terminus, expressed in E.coli.\n\nAA sequence:\nMSESSSKSSQ PLASKQEKDG TEKRGRGRPR KQPPVSPGTA LVGSQKEPSE VPTPKRPRGR PKGSKNKGAA KTRKTTTTPG RKPRGRPKKL EKEEEEGISQ ESSEEEQLEH HHHHH\n\nMolecular Weight: \n~12.7kD (115aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
