HOXA10 (Homeobox Protein Hox-A10, Homeobox Protein Hox-1.8, Homeobox Protein Hox-1H, PL, HOX1H)

HOXA10 (homeobox protein A10) belongs to a class of transcription factors called homeobox proteins (reviewed in 1). In vertebrates, homeobox are found in clusters called A, B, C, and D on four separate chromosomes. Expression of homeobox proteins is spatially and temporally regulated during embryonic development. The gene encoding HOXA10 is part of the A cluster on chromosome 7. HOXA10 is thought to play roles in regulating gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation. For example, it is thought that HOXA10 may function in fertility, embryo viability, and regulating the hematopoietic lineage (2, 3). Additionally, a specific translocation event results in a fusion between the gene encoding HOXA10 and the NUP98 gene has been associated with myeloid leukemogenesis (4). Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for HOXA10. The HOX10 antibody recognizes the longer transcript which is referred to as Isoform A. Human HOXA10 Isoform A is a 393aa protein.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:100-1:1000\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
