Control peptide for H9117-83C1. HSD17B4 (17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 4) is a bifunctional enzyme that is involved in the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway for fatty acids. HSD17B4 catalyzes the formation of 3-ketoacyl-CoA intermediates from both straight-chain and 2-methyl-branched-chain fatty acids. Source: Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa134 from human HSD17B4. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Antibody Blocking. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
