The Kit is a solid phase enzyme immunoassay employing a fusion protein of recombinant human tyrosine phosphatase-related protein islet antigen 2 (IA2) and recombinant human glutamate decarboxylase 65kDa isoform (GAD65) for the quantitative and qualitative detection of antibodies against islet cells in human serum.
The assay is a tool in the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes mellitus.
