IL28 (Interleukin-28A, IL-28A, Interferon lambda-2, IFN-lambda-2, Cytokine ZCYTO20, IFNL2, ZCYTO20, IL28A)

IL28 is a cytokine distantly related to type I interferons and the IL-10 family. This gene, interleukin 28B (IL28B), and interleukin 29 (IL29) are three closely related cytokine genes that form a cytokine gene cluster on a chromosomal region mapped to 19q13. Expression of the cytokines encoded by the three genes can be induced by viral infection. All three cytokines have been shown to interact with a heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor that consists of interleukin 10 receptor, beta (IL10RB) and interleukin 28 receptor, alpha (IL28RA).\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: To detect Human IFNL2 by sandwich ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2ug/ml of this antibody is required.\nWestern Blot: To detect Human IFNL2 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2ug/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant Human IFNL2 is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.\nImmunohistochemistry: This antibody stained formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections of normal human skin. The recommended concentration is 1mg/ml overnight at 4 degrees C. An alkaline phosphatase-labeled polymer detection system was used with a non-alcohol soluble red chromogen and proteinase K antigen retrieval.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
