Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 7 (IGFBP7)

IGFBP-7 (insulin-like growth factor binding protein-7) is a secreted protein which belongs to a family of IGF-BPs which regulate the biological activities and distribution of the insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), through binding to IGF-I and IGF-II. IGFBP-7 is expressed in many tumor types and acts as a suppressor of breast and prostate cancer cell lines. IGFBP-7 inhibits IGF-induced differentiation of skeletal muscle (myogenesis) and has implications in bone formation.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml is required to detect hIGFBP7 by direct ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution). I7661-17A, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant human IGFBP7.\nWestern Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml detects human IGFBP7 by Western Blot. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant human IGFBP7 is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. \n\nCountry of Origin:\nUSA
