Interleukin-2 is a pleiotropic cytokine produced primarily by mitogenic or antigen activated T lymphocytes. IL-2 plays a key role in T cell proliferation and promotes the proliferation, expansion and differentiation of a wide variety of antigen specific cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
