Established from the pleural effusion of a 60-year-old Asian man with a distal non-Barrett-esophageal adenocarcinoma in 2001; the patient was pre-treated with radiation and chemotherapy; cells were shown to be tumorigenic in mice and to carry a P53 mutation (C455T)
