Luciferin is the substrate for luciferase and is used in highly sensitive bioluminescence assays for the detection of ATP; the generation of light is directly proportional to the concentration of ATP. Also used in detection of the luciferase marker gene.
Reconstitution:
Reconstitute with nitrogen purged water.
Water (KF):
<9.0%
Storage and Stability:
Long-term storage is recommended at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Hygroscopic, Light sensitive.
Note: Luciferin is easily oxidized in the presence of light. Solutions of this product should not be stored. If frozen, solutions will degrade approximately 20% with each freeze-thaw.
