The Magnetic Bead Separator, PCR Strip Adapter can be placed on the 96 well Separator suitable for users with smaller sample throughputs preferring use of PCR tube strips over PCR plates. The adapter is placed on the 96-well Separator and is suitable for users with smaller sample throughputs, preferring use of PCR tube strips over PCR plates.\nThese separators are suitable for use with U- or V-shaped 96 well microplates and for 96-well PCR plates in various formats, and 8- and 12-tube PCR strips. MagDetect(TM) beads typically collect from a solution within 1-2 minutes, after which liquids are pipetting off easily with a single, 8- or 12-channel multi-pipette.\n\nThe Magnetic Bead Separator is intended for magnetic separation of MagDetect(TM) beads from liquid samples for isolation and purification of nucleic acids and proteins, immunoprecipitation, immunoassays (ELISA), cell sorting, and purification of biomolecules. Separators are designed for optimal magnetic bead separation in terms of speed and bead pellet positioning, as well as stability and are user friendly.\n\nThe neodymium (NdFeB, NIB, or Neo) magnets used for the separators are the strongest permanent magnets made. These magnetic separators consists of a durable plexiglass block which is chemically inert and enables perfect visual control of the magnetic bead separation.\n\nSeparator enables easy separation of beads from liquids for processing low amounts of samples with working volumes from 10ul to 2 ml. After liquids are pipetted off, microcentrifuge tubes\ncan be conveniently placed on the outer positions for resuspending beads and further processing. MagDetect(TM) beads typically collect from a solution to the side of a centrifuge\ntube between 10 seconds and 3 minutes (depending on the type of beads and application). Separation of magnetic beads is completed within 10 seconds.\n\nDimensions:\n12.8cm x 8.6cm x 1cm\n\nStorage and Stability:\nSeparators should be cleaned with mild detergents. Contact with harsh chemicals or organic solvents may damage the surface. Store at room temperature in dry environment. Do not heat the magnets above 80 degrees C, as this will result in loss of magnetic properties!\n\nSafety:\nStrong magnetic field. Before working with the magnets, take appropriate safety measures. Keep the magnets away from ferrous materials, and magnetic media like computers, videotapes, credit cards etc.
