The mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) are proline-directed protein kinases that mediate the effects of numerous extracellular stimuli on a wide array of biological processes, such as cellular proliferation, differentiation and death. There are three groups of mammalian MAP kinases including the ERK, JNK, and p38 MAP kinases. They are conserved in evolution throughout the plant and animal kingdoms. Gene-targeting approaches in mice, chickens, frogs and zebrafish revealed crucial roles of MAPK in vertebrate development. Gene-disruption or -silencing often lead to lethal effects, therefore the zebrafish ex utero development provides an excellent in vivo model to study the function of MAPK in early embryogenesis.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:500-1:1000\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200\nELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nControl Peptide: M2352-09Q\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
