Full-length recombinant human neutrophil pro-collagenase (MMP-8), latent form. Recombinant Human MMP-8 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a molecular mass of 75kD. Recombinant MMP-8 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.\n\nUnit Definition: \nOne unit of collagenolytic activity is defined as the cleavage of 1microg of collagen per minute.\n\nBiological Activity: \nRecombinant MMP-8 biological activity was found to be 100 units/ml after activation with APMA by solution assay method (10U0 assays).\n\nApplications: \nUsed as a standard for analyzing mammalian collagenase activity.\n\nStability: \nRecombinant MMP-8 although stable at 140C for 1 week, should be stored desiccated below -180C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
